Working with the kids in Cusco

We’ve been working with the market kids of Cusco for about a week now and what I take back from this experience is how grateful I am to:

1) have had the chance of being born where I was born

2) be able to help them the slightest bit.

With the help of the volunteer organization I am here with, in the afternoon we gather the kids in a little run down classroom and just try and make them have as much fun as they can for a couple of hours. May it be by reading them a story or making them do origami “tiburons”, they are always smiling.

Unfortunately, they don’t have much. A couple of crayons and pieces of paper and a small collection of books. But this small space is like a little oasis for them, it doesn’t look like much but you can feel how much love is emanating from this room.
 Une petite maison du bonheur.
